Asalamualikum,

Please let us know when the conference is. We believe just the same as you all, as far as we know we are alone in Oklahoma. When we talk to other Muslims about the corruption they say that Satan has gotten to us. How can you know anything without the sunnah and the hadith books.

Some have told us to burn in hell. We fear for our lives some times so we keep to ourselves. We moved to a small town on 80 acres to get away. I see some people on occasion. We can’t

trust to talk to anyone about how we feel, that the Quran is for us to understand and obey not to ask scholars and the hadith all the time. So please let us know when the convention is.

My name is Nijaz Salkic (imam) and I come from a little town named Velenje. Velenje is in east Slovenia and it is a beautiful town. We have a mesjid here, which is visited by 300 children. We don’t have a lot of things needed to teach them much about Islam. We have only one computer PC 90. We could use some material help, like CD’s and some books in English or some other language. Thank you for putting up your web-site. Being a new Muslim, Islam can be a little overwhelming and confusing. You cleared up a lot of things. As for my question, is Islamic law, Sharia I think it’s called, based on hadith? If so, is it then not to be thought of as perfect?

1998 Annual Conference

September 4-6, 1998

Seattle, Washington

God willing, we are planning to hold this year’s United Submitters International Conference in Seattle, Washington. The dates of this conference are set for September 4-6, 1998.

Please mark your calendar and start making your plans to attend the conference. Remember that this is a great opportunity to be with Submitters from all around the world.

Look for more details and the registration forms in the next issue of the Submitters Perspective. God willing, we are trying to utilize the University of Washington conference facilities and dorms, instead of holding the conference at a hotel. This is taking a long time to make the arrangements and get confirmation. If it is God’s will, it will happen. Thank you all for your patience. However, please do not wait to the last minute for your decision. This year we may have to limit the attendance to the conference depending on the space.
