Insurance in Submission
Per God's teachings through His messenger of the Covenant we are taught from the Quran that insurance is prohibited because of many reasons:
1) It is a game of chance or gambling (see below verses)
Intoxicants and Gambling Prohibited*
[2:219] They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, "In them there is a gross sin, and some benefits for the people. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit." They also ask you what to give to charity: say, "The excess." GOD thus clarifies the revelations for you, that you may reflect,
*2:219 The world now recognizes that the economic benefits from manufacturing alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs are not worth the traffic fatalities, brain damage to children of alcoholic mothers, family crises, and other disastrous consequences. Intoxicants and Gambling Prohibited
[5:90] O you who believe, intoxicants, and gambling, and the altars of idols, and the games of chance are abominations of the devil; you shall avoid them, that you may succeed.
2) It indicates lack of knowledge about God because if you know God and believe in God, you'll know nothing bad will happen to you. God will take care of you, (see below verses)
Profound Question
[39:36] Is GOD not sufficient for His servant? They frighten you with the idols they set up beside Him. Whomever GOD sends astray, nothing can guide him.
[65:3] And will provide for him whence he never expected. Anyone who trusts in GOD, He suffices him. GOD's commands are done. GOD has decreed for everything its fate.
[4:132] To GOD belongs everything in the heavens and the earth, and GOD is the only Protector.
3) It indicates lack of confidence in God (see below verses)
[10:84] Moses said, "O my people, if you have really believed in GOD, then put your trust in Him, if you are really submitters."
Lack of Confidence in God:
They Refuse to Enter Jerusalem
[2:58] Recall that we said, "Enter this town, where you will find as many provisions as you like. Just enter the gate humbly, and treat the people nicely. We will then forgive your sins, and increase the reward for the pious."
Proof of Faith During Muhammad's Era
[47:21] Obedience and righteous utterances are expected of them. If only they showed
confidence in GOD, when mobilization was called for, it would have been better for them.
Confidence in God
[28:7] We inspired Moses' mother: "Nurse him, and when you fear for his life, throw him into the river without fear or grief. We will return him to you, and will make him one of the messengers."
4) Additionally insurance is based on fear.
Fear: The Devil's Tool
[3:175] It is the devil's system to instill fear into his subjects. Do not fear them and fear Me instead, if you are believers.
Perfect Security for Believers
[6:82] Those who believe, and do not pollute their belief with idol worship, have deserved the perfect security, and they are truly guided.
[7:196] "GOD is my only Lord and Master; the One who revealed this scripture. He protects the righteous.
